Together with Prof. Mikołaj Małecki and Dr. Katarzyna Mika-Łabuz, Mateusz Łabuz co-authored peer-reviewed article titled “Child pornography in the form of deep fakes – potential problems under criminal law and proposals for changes” (Polish version available online). The article was published in the journal “Prawo w Działaniu”.

This is the first comprehensive, comprehensive study of Child Sexual Abuse Materials published in Poland. The authors propose a revised approach to selected cyber-related crimes to more adequately adapt the regulations to the changing technological landscape. In this regard, they propose specific amendments to the Penal Code, which could serve as a model for other jurisdictions to follow.
